Weekend #2 of Front Yard Landscaping

Posted August 30th, 2010 in Alameda House, Photos by Trevor Russell

We only put in one day (Sunday) into the front yard this weekend so not nearly as much was done as a typical weekend in the Russell household.

- Mary used her spacial skills in puzzling together the flagstone layout
- Transplanted 5 nandina bushes from the back yard to the front
- Pulled up the rest of the sod from the sidewalk strip.
- Added drip irrigation to nandinas

Zachary enjoyed some time having a snack on the steps watching his mother work.

After watching me load chunks of concrete into the wheelbarrow, Zachary brought out his dump truck to help with the smaller pieces.

Zachary was a big help loading all the ripped up sod into the wheelbarrow
Followed by testing out the hole left from a tree stump removal
I wish we had an outdoor shower to hose him off after helping in the yard
