Goals: Remove the existing carpet and parquet flooring and inspect subfloor
I started with the parquet floor since there were a few loose bits and though I could just scrape it up and they would pop off the subfloor. Boy was I wrong, the adhesive was still strong after so many years. I resorted to a prybar and hammer and had to chisel away bringing up bits of the plywood subfloor (this will have to get smoothed out later. Today I only got about 1/3rd of the parquet pulled up before switching to the carpet where I could have an easy win.

The carpet side also gave me an opportunity to remove the barrel seats so we can send them to an upholstery shop to get re-built.

There are a few areas of the subfloor near windows that need some repair, and addressing the window leaks.
